Attak Coolant, Corrosion Inhibitors?

Was just looking into adding a temp guage and at the same time, changing my ratio to 60/40.

Since the attak cooling system holds 6L, I should remove 2.4L of coolant to get 3.6L of coolant to 2.4L of water. This water will be the distilled water. I am then adding water wetter (4 caps full per L) bringing the total to about 3.5L of coolant to 2.3L water + water wetter.

My question is that does the stock coolant come with a corrosion inhibitor so that the water wont cause any problems?

Tap off all coolant and add new premixed 50/50 auto coolant (good down to -33F or -36C) then add the water wetter. The premixed auto coolants already have the corrosion inhibitors in them.

I run auto type coolant in my turbo sled, never had the light come on ever, not even in marginal snow conditions.

The "Yamacool" coolant uses a silicate free corrosion inhibitor.

Many automotive coolants use silicate inhibitors which can cause premature wear to the water pump seals.

Just thinking now, whats the best way to drain the coolant out of the apex so that I can obtain the proper ratio?

In my case I was adding a rear heat exchanger so I dilluted the mixture at the same time.

I would imagine that if you could get a small siphon hose down into the system far enough that would be the cleanest way.

Otherwise pulling off a hose would always work if you don't mind the mess.
