if you have a 22/38 set up the sled should run out of gear going across the lake, but should get there faster than a 23/38 or 24/38. my bone stock 08 ltx gt ran 119.1mph in 3000' on the gun with 3000km on it. i've since added a polar clutch, shaved track, ram air lid, big wheel kit and the sled runs 127mph in 3000'.
the larger the foot print is the way to get the traction to the ground, imo.

Would a Attak suspension bolt right into my sled or would I need the Attak mounting plates as well?
Does anyone have or know of someone who is selling a Attak suspension complete with tunnel extension, bumper, possibly the mounting hardware for mounting the suspension to the front of the tunnel ( the front mount is different than the CK skid) & the mounting plates if needed?
Thanks!!!!!

Guys really have to evaluate riding style before making a change like this. Some will disagree but the sled will not corner as well in the hairpin twisties with the extra track out there. And no the skid will not bolt up in your proactive tunnel.

The tunnel is the same. Question is whether the mounting bolts are in same location. I'm assuming front would be same, but back mounting locations would be different, but not positive.

I meant he will need to drill holes in the tunnel...not the tunnel itself. My mistake

So the mounting holes positioning on the Attak are different than on my pro-active skid. Guess it is going to be more complicated than I thought as I was hoping it would be a simple swap & not trying to relocate the mounting holes. Maybe I might be better off aborting the suspension swap, sell my sled & buy a used Attak around the same year?

Pro active skid versus Mono skid has totally different mounting hole locations. I have done the swap, but had a Mono sled right there to measure from. You can drill out the rivets from your existing mounting plates and move them, but the proper plates would be easier to work with. This swap is not that hard, just a little time consuming. In your case it might be easier to go find a good used attak.

PM me your email and I can send you pics of the mounting locations of both skids, they are different locations. I have both sleds sitting next to each other in the garage.

Thanks Teamblue for offering to take pictures of both sleds side by side, however, now knowing that the mounting locations on both skids are different, I think I will take the advise from Stubby & sell mine ride & find an Attak. This would be the most feasible as the price for a suspension, mounting plates, tunnel extension, track & whatever else I need would cost more than swapping sleds. Not to mention all the work & configuring of mounting locations.
Thanks to everyone for their help!!!!!!

Anyone run a new Apex (128) against an Attack? Thats what I would like to see how much better and changes to the motor reflect.
I have been side by side with an 2011 apex XTX which is the 144. Brother has xtx and I have attak. Almost everything is 10 percent better on the XTX and if I could afford it, I would trade. Only 2 downsides that I can think of on XTX are bad hyfax wear, easily solved with wheel kits, and slightly choppier ride in the stutter bumps(much better in big bumps). I know that you asked about the 128. and I have no info regaurding that other that to say it also is a mono, so it should take the small stutters more like my attak.

Yes the Excell sounds pretty good, but you can hear them coming way before you can see them.......LOL. I ride with guys that have them.

A 128" track, has only 1 more lug on the ground, than a 121".
A 144" track, has only 1 more lug on the ground than a 136".
With the 2.52 pitch track, that they come with, that's 2 1/2 " more on the ground.

Hey congrats on the find Ranger1, hope you like the sled.
The Excell exhaust is cool; I like it. I don't run it, but I've seen/heard it. Mated with more air flow (i.e., air box mods) and a Power Commander, you can get really good gains from a set up including that exhaust.
So your Attak will be faster than your average Attak in my estimation, or it should be.
