My 06 Attak has been sitting for 5 years due to me being to busy to ride. Finally got it in the garage yesterday to start going over things. First thing I noticed is that the coolant tank is empty. Seems odd that it all would have evaporated but maybe?
Also pulled the dipstick on the oil tank and there is no oil at all on it. I had done an oil change the last season I ran it so I know there was oil in there. Any idea why this would be empty? There is nothing leaking anywhere. Its all dry and clean under the motor. Im thinking of draining the oil and filling the tank back up? Just don't want to ruin anything when I do finally fire it up.
I drained the tank so I can use fresh gas. Anything else I should be looking for?

The oil more than likely drained over into the crankcase. The ball-check valves on the oil pump have been known to not hold over time.
Pull the crankcase drain screw and drain the motor.

and the mouse nest check. = under seat. = in exhaust= front near regulator=inside air box and underneath air box. (mine was a barn find w 1600 miles same year 06)
