I didn't know you had a PC5 .. This is probaly the problem. My PC3 will act up at times , and give me a backfiring popping when it gets moisture and cold. Plug sled back to stock PROBLEM SOLVED ! Take PC3 in house take apart warm it up days later install dielectric grease and good to go !
Thanks for the info...if its still acting up when I test ride it I will bypass the PC5 right away and see if it is the culprit.I didn't know you had a PC5 .. This is probaly the problem. I really cant find anything else wrong with the sled other then the TPS. I have done a complete diagnostics and tested every other sensor with no issues detected.
I also have drained all my fuel and will start with a fresh tank of fuel.
Fixed!
After I installed the new TPS, every time I tried to come off idle I would get the code 84 with TORS activating. Even when I bypassed the TORS it still would do it! No other codes.
With gauges in Diagnostic mode, #24 would indicate the throttle switch off with throttle closed or open and even with the TORS bypassed.
I initially thought I had an ECU problem but tracked it down to the black/yellow signal wire that runs from the throttle switch all the way to the ECU.
I spliced in a new wire and hooked the TORS up again and its good to go!
I now suspect this TORS signal wire was causing my initial running problems all along.
