I am finding myself questioning my purchase of the Attak. I didn't have any problems like this with my RX-1. After receiving about 10" of fresh snow, and after spending most of the day plowing snow, I finally got to test ride the Attak. I start it up to let it warm up, Jump on it, and about 50 yards into my virgin voyage, the warning light starts to flash with the self diagnostic indicator lit, :o| , the engine starts to pulse, and I can't go anywhere. I let it idle a bit more, then try it again, with the same results. I had to shut it down, wait a few seconds, start it back up, and the same thing happens again when I go to pull out. I shut it down again, and this time it let me give it a run. In the 14 miles that I put on tonight, it did this about 5 times. In addition, I noticed that when I turn the handlebars to the left, the engine revs fairly high. It seems like the throttle cable is pinched somewhere. I need to look at it closer tomorrow.

In looking at the manual, it states that there should be an error code with this. I didn't notice the code, but I plan on taking note of what it is tomorrow. This is extremely frustrating!!! :die

Not to sound all negative, I did like the riding position, as well as the throttle response. It is much different (and better) than my '03 RX-1. I took my son for a ride and also noticed that it is much more difficult to ride with him on this sled than on the '03.

In any event, if anyone has any ideas or theories on what the #$%&* this could be, please let me know. The throttle cable thing just has to be a routing issue, or something like that.

Dealer fubar. He needs to make sure the cables are clear. Would happen on my RX when I first put on the 2 inch risers. I'd turn to the right to turn around and it would pulse. Should be no problem =).

Check to make sure of the space between the throttle lever and where it rests. The measurement is in the book. Throttle cable free play. Should be 0.08 - 0.12
To adjust , there is a lock nut where the cable attatches to the throttle body. You have to loosen the lock not and adjust to make the cable longer, giving you more free play.

:yam: :4STroke: :rocks:

Been there, done that. It is definitely the TORS. Scars the crap out of you the first time when you have no idea what is happening and thinking your sled is about to explode. Follow SnoWarrior's method or take it back to the dealer. Just a bad dealer prep incident. :o|

Ya i had the same problem w/my 05 fusion, scared the crap out of me,and yes it was the throttle override took it to my dealer and 5 min. fix it worked fine ever sense. Not to worrie it is a simple fix.

what an awesome site...its nice to have a place to get answers other than the dealers as they can be alot less helpful sometimes.
