Ok, so I understand that if you install a rear heat exchanger and stud the 136" track on the Attak, you need to fabricate some type of protector so the studs won't slam into the cooler.
My question is, has any company come up with this type of protection? Does anyone fabricate these?
I'd like to hear some thoughts regarding this...
Or is it best to not stud the track?

- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
One guy said his studs still hit with a 1in. protector. Some other posters felt the Ripsaw track lugs are soft so they bend some allowing the studs to stick up further then other tracks.
I can't remember what the final protector depth was but if I was to guess it was 1 1/2in.
That's what I put on. I used 1x1 sq. tube and 2- 1/8in. flat bar. Plus the space between protector and cooler. I don't have studs but I may by next season.

If I were to install a cooler on my Attak again I would use the Apex cooler because it is smaller. The skid is hitting my protectors often but the cooler is fine.

I dont think ya can, because of the angle of the APex cooler

Heres what I did. 121 stretched to a 136 form hartman. Pioneer rear cooler. 1450 woody megabites. Extra protection. Studs do not hit and their is no notice in travel loss. Works perfect.

SWEET Attak! Looks incredible I must say! Nice job on that fabricated protector. Have you had any studs ever hit it the cooler? How did you attach the protector, with rivets? Is that a piece of metal welded across from the protector bars to the cooling fins?
The studs never hit in the 400 miles I put on. Everything is pop rivited on. I made brakets at the back to hold it so I didnt have to put rivets through the top where you would see them.

YES you can install the smaller 1 on a ATTAK or L-TX (136"), 1 of my buddies did and installs the same way as you would on a SHORTY (121")...
