Attak Rear Suspension Bottoming!!

I have an 06 Attak with over 2k miles on it and love the machine. But one ugly downside to the machine, and probably all mono suspended machines is the CONSTANT bottoming in the large roller type of bumps. To give and example I rode near TUG HILL yesterday after they got hammered with snow. They were not grooming and the trails had many 2-3 roller moguls and EVERYTIME my skid would bottom. It didn't matter if I was going slow or fast. I adjusted the RA stiffer but no change. I understand the RA is mainly a rebound adjustment but it was no help. Over the summer I had the shock revalved and had the heavier spring installed, but this was no help in those conditions. What have people done to help with the bottoming in those large ROLLER moguls??

In conditions other than the large, deep rollers the sled is awsome!

Thanks
Matt

a ship my shock to HYGEAR SUSPENSION made it rebuilt. The shock is revalve whit a dual rate spring and a reservoir with hi-lo compression damping and still have my cable adjustment for rebound. Work great for me!

I also had my shock redone by HyGear. 4000miles last season and even with Big Boy spring it was still bottoming.

Now at 5000 miles, think I finally have it dialed in. Very little bottoming and excellent on the stutters. Expensive, but worth the money if you ride alot.

Thanks, HyGear!

Rock and gkw

Hygear offers 3 different shock packages, which did you guys get? When you guys mention that it is not bottoming as much are you riding in really deep moguls? That is the area I need to improve the ride.

Thanks
Matt

i weigh 220 plus gear and moved my clip and it is a totally different sled. all my buddies have moved there clip now. don't need new shock just move clip

I bought the complete rebuild with dual rate spring and remote clicker. I am not sure what that is called.

My problem was G Bumps on groomed trails. If you are pounding through large sno-cross style moguls, that is a different kind of problem.

Good luck!
