What are peoples oppinions. :D

I just got back from a 500 mile 2 1/2 day ride  and realized I like to comfortly criuse the trails :D and race corner to corner alot less than I used to. 8)
So I started to think that I might be quite happy with a warrior, seems the 05 & 04 owners loved them on long days, but I wondered what those who have ridden both would say. :rocks:

On our 260 mile day comfort kept coming to mind. ;)!

Let me know what you guys think of the warriors?

Did numerous 250+ mile day rides on my RX-1's and felt good at the end of day. Just did a 250 mile day on the Attak two weeks ago and felt just as good. My point is that while I really like the rider forward position on the trails, the rider position is just as good for trail cruising too and long distance journey comfort was not compromised. Hope that helps.

I have an 04 warrior and have loved it from day one. Once setup it works great. All that said I just borrowed a new Apex for a couple days, put 400km on and had a blast. The riding position sitting and standing is excellent...very noticable difference from the warrior. Took a bit to get used to the high bars. I think a new Attak or its 07 variant is in the werks for me. Maybe a taller windshield would be a plus you are catching alot more air.

Lighty
ps: I will be keeping my warrior.

I was having those same concerns about my Attak until I installed the Rox Riser on it. I have moved the bars back about 4-5 inches and it allows me to just unload my knees enough to enjoy those 250+ mile days. And you can still stand up and pound if you feel like it, but the trails in Que have been so smooth, you can just sit back and cruise...

Rox Rocks! There is even a special Yammy adaptor so that you still use the chrome ring for that factory look.

Ran them both (05 warrior and 06 attak) both are great rides. I'd choose Attak easily, too many improvements in suspension and engine on 06's. Overall handling and rider position also better IMHO. studdog.

thanks guys will be a tough call. :D
Certainly all things equal Attack, but $ is not equal. But than $ versus value and later resale gets very complicated.

The warrior might be slightly better when cruising.. becasue you can streach your legs more...

But when it comes to suspension and handling. the attack has that hands down..

I don't agree, I'm 6'3" and can stretch out just as much on my Attak.......

To answer the question get an Attak. To many improvements to ignore. Especially if you are looking at used. I saw a stock one with a couple thousand miles in the classifieds for 7 grand. Another practically new one with only 300 miles for $7,700 with a few goodies 8)

Im only 5'8... and my knees get slightly sore when riding really rough trails.. (didnt happen on my warrior) because of the sitting positon

I would rather tough it out than give up the riding positons though LaLaLa

I own both and the Attack is Light years ahaid of the RX chassis for long or sort rides

Other than the foot wells are flatter, the actual chassis is almost identical.

The real differences come from the suspension, both front and rear. As well as the hadle bar location and the seat height. They are not as night and day as everyone thinks they are.

When I got my RX-1 which I later converted to a 136 I thought it was light years ahaid of the SRX I came off of. I told many people I didn't know how I road an SRX for so long. Then I got this Attack and it makes the RX-1 feel old and heavy. The Attack is so light feeling when yhou ride it that when you move it around the garage you think it can't be the same machine!!!!

That's how I feel.

thanks guys, You all have me thinking ATTACK. I am sure Warrior is a great ride, not sure if I want to save ~2 grand and still be behind in technology. Decisions Decisions
