Amazing,
The exact same thing happend to me a few weeks back on the first day of our weeklong trip to Ontario. A local put the sled in his heated garage and we tore it apart for hours. Couldn't figure it out. Sure enough, once home and after 700 miles riding double on the wife's Vec LTX, it turns out to be the ^&%$ ground wire. Would have been an easy fix if I would have figured it out.
I've got 8300 miles on the sled and that has been the only time I've really been mad at it!!!
Live and learn.
