Gone but not forgotten:
2009 Nytro RTX-SE
1999 Vmax 600 SX Triple
I was convinced it was electronic because it was happening every 7 minutes to the second(!) and the tone was exactly the same every time. It's nice to know I am not losing my mind (or at least be in the good company of those who have lost as much of their minds as I have). I've spent the last two weekends doing end of season maintenance and the first step is to loosen up the gas cap...stupid noise... ;-)

My friend's 2T Cat makes this sound when it is hot. We also assumed it was electronic.

Last year when my brother had his 2010 doo TNT 600 parked in my garage thawing out I could hear this noise and I thought I was goin a little crazy. It's turns out his was doing the exact same thing.

Well my wife and I are not going bat #*$&@ crazy just yet. Last ride of year during one stop every time she sat on the seat we would get a tone. Stand up goes away. Even if I leaned on it we could here it. I thought short in heated seat but didn't change by turning that on and off. Eventually went away and never heard again. Now we know what it is. Awesome thanks. Now to explain the voices in my head and I'm all set.
Your sled is talking to you! It's saying "lets ride"

On our sleds the XTX SE is mute and says nothing

My XTX LE is talking all the time when its off, Most of the riding buddies get a laugh out of it when they first hear it.

What you hear is the sound of the E.P.A., reaching silently into our pockets.
