I am going to try out my holtzman nitrous kit this weekend on my 06 apex gt and was thinking of putting in 3or4 gal of 100LL to make sure i have a good octane rating. There should not be any problems runinng a few gallons of av gas in these sleds correct?

We can only get 91 octane and i am going to run a 90hp shot so need to make sure i have good fuel. If i run 91 how many much 110 race gas would i need to run to make it 94 95 octane? My math is no good today lol

Try 40/60 of pump fuel and like a VP C12 or there unleaded version. I've run it in mine without issues

I run 91 octane all day long....with MANY 2000 foot radar runs.

I run 91 octane ALL the time....and yes, it's a 90hp shot!!!!!!!!

11 to 1 a/f ratio. Stock timing.....then when the PC3 became available, I retard the timing 2 degs.....just for the hell of it.

Again, plenty safe at 11000rpm and 91 octane and 11 to 1 a/f.

There has been a lot of debate as to whether Avgas is safe to use in any non aviation use. Even though the octane number is high, the fuel is very refined and "clean" if you will. I've personally used it in 2 stroke dirt bikes with jetting 2 ranges richer on the mains, and haven't had problems. It does store very well. Avgas is formulated to stay in fuel tanks for very long periods of time. Maybe others more knowledgable can chime in.
