Aviation gas, vs Race gas

Just run straight Av gas , that way you know what you get.
Have been running 15 pounds all last season on straight Av gas with one extra head-gasket o problems even on extended climbs deep pow etc.
It always seems to be the fuel mixers that blow up---------

the can of C111 I got has no color to it and is not listed on VPs website. A drum of 111 out weights 116 by 29lbs
Example:

Specific gravity is the ratio of the mass of a liquid to the mass of an equal volume of distilled water at 64*F, which is represented by 1.000 Specific Gravity on a fuel chart.

One gallon of distilled water weighs 8.33 lbs per gallon

54 × 8.33 = 449.82

Your label says 371 lbs
C-16 specific gravity = 0.735 (449.82 x 0.735 = 330.61 lbs)

My label says 356 lbs
C-10 specific gravity = 0.763 (449.82 x 0.763 = 343.21 lbs)

The math doesn't work...:dunno:

You have got a sharp eye there Hammer! The barrel of 116 has been empty for a few years, VP may have changed there formula for that fuel or someone goofed on the labeling. I might give them a call on Monday, I have a few questions, the 111 I have been getting has no octane rating on the label for some reason.
