For anyone who's been missing the Yamablog that Chris Reid had....it looks like Jaret Smith from Yamaha has stepped up to the plate and Yamaha will be offering their own new version of communication with us.
Kudos to Jaret and Yamaha for picking up where Chris had left off.

Thanks for taking on this added responsibility Jaret. When Chris had his blog running strong Yamaha was the only OEM with any sort of corporate insider info and I thought that was one of the things that Yamaha enthusiasts could take a lot of pride in.
Hopefully you've got thick skin as I'm sure that you're going to get a fair amount of guys who aren't going to be pulling any punches in sharing their opinions with you on many topics that have been beaten to death already on the web.
I hope for your sake that everyone keeps it somewhat civil with their comments and respects your position in not being able to discuss details of future products, and that they give you the same respect that they gave Chris.
Cheers!

@JMS@Yamaha super excited that you will be on here. I’ve learned so much from this great forum and hopefully Yamaha is willing to listen to some of the bigger concerns that could use addressing. Seems like a great step forward having you on here and open to communicate with us here and also through your blogs!

Welcome Jaret, looking forward to your blog. Maybe some who think Yamaha doesn’t care about snowmobiles any more will see that’s not so.

Looking forward to your interaction with the Yamaha customer base. If I can ever be of any technical assistance don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Like you getting serious would ever happen or be tolerated, we would all be “were is the real Steve” we miss him and somebody would come along and blame it on the mods or Mr Sled.

+1 on this, where is the best place to find this. It looked like a linked video from the Yamaha facebook page.
Either way, thank you Jaret, your info and collection of feedback from owners and riders is greatly appreciated!!

And some Bravos
And some Enticers
Jaret,
Thank you for engaging here. I am still kind of blinking. Looking forward to possibly learning a bit about how Yamaha views the business.
Insert gratuitous Chris Reid reference.
Insert gratuitous Bravo/Enticer reference.

I think its great that Jaret stepped up to try and answer some issue's and concerns with the direction of Yamaha sleds in the years ahead and VX1R is right he is going to need I think thick alligator skin, but I feel we are going to be on a need to know basis only, he has upper level management people he has to answer to also, so nothing to revealing, interested about this vid that they are going to release on their relationship direction with Cat and if Yamaha is going to build their own chassis, I have a funny feeling that this vid will not reveal anything other that Yamaha is still in bed with Cat, we will see.
Thank You! This is the best thing I have heard from Yamaha in a long time. My hope is still strong!Hi All,
