I have a MPI supercharger on my Phazer MTX. I have two issues. My 02 sensor in not reporting to my guage. No idea what my fuel ratio is. I have tuned it in the blind so to speak. Running it rich. Issue 2, after I have been ridingf for a while it starts to backfire. I believ it is my GEMS getting moisture in it. I have both GEMS in small Pelican boxes and sealed up but I am still getting moisture in the box. Has anyone had a backfire issue? I plan to take the GEMS apart and spray it with conformal coating so moisture will not be an issue. I wish i had thought of that to begine with. I would not have had to put the GEMS in the pelican case.
It backfires when I let off the throttle when I have been easing along. It does not happen when I first start riding. This is why i think it is related to moisture. Also after I have been riding and i sute it down steam rises up from the engine compartment.
