I've read the thread on shaving 2.5mm off the top balljoint. Anyone have any pictures of what is exactly involved. I'd like to do the mod, but I want to understand exactly what it should look like. Thanks.

This is not difficult if you've got experience using a lathe. Just remove the balljoint, mount it in the lathe by the threaded end, remove material from shoulder which will extend the mounting shaft (threaded end) by 2-2.5mm. A local Machine shop can do it for a few bucks. I did mine myself but I thought it was a waste of time. I really didn't notice much, if any difference in handling.
