Has anyone put on a motorcycle-type "bar-end" mirror on their Apex/Attak sled?
No problem to cut the end open on the grips to mount this type of mirror? Heating element won't be harmed?
I'm thinking this may be the way to go as most say the accessory mirror from Yamaha for these sleds is almost useless, and as I use a full bar pad & Skinz handguards, I wouldn't be able to use a mirror set-up like some posted on the site.

Lots of posts on mirrors, suggest search. I run a pair of handlebar mount motorcycle mirrors by EMGO they work great!

I've used the search feature, but haven't come across and bar-end mounted set-ups on the site.
I have seen the pics & threads on the mirror configuration like yours, but to go with a set-up like that, I'd have to give up the Skinz handguards-maybe.
Could go with Powermadd guards, but to mount those & mirrors in the same general area may be tight, and still be able to use my full bar pad with storage pouch
Just thought the bar-end idea would be a "cleaner" look & be funtional as they are out to the side with no obstruction from the driver.
