Dumb question...can you charge your battery through the jumper cables that Yam installed or do you have to pull the airbox and connect to the actual battery?
 

Yes you can charge the battery from the jumper cables. I shut my sled off with the kill switch and forgot to turn the key off, noticed it about a week later (no snow here) the battery was dead and I charged it thru the jumpers, no problem. Got to remember to sut it off with key :oops:

The manual, page 9-1, says caution the leads are for jumping purposes only. Doesn't make sense to me. I have read other posts last year where guys were charging directly from the leads.

HEY BoB. RU sure that will drain the battery? Seems as though I have done this many times with no prob. Thanks for the info I will pay attension closer! Honk
 
I hooked my otimate charger on the block that the pos jumper lead comes off of and the neg is on the battery . I now just plug in the otimate and it worked fine the one time I used it .
