Sent my RX-1M to my dealer and they charged the battery overnite and next morning nothing :( Anyone else have this prob?Got a new one on warranty :D whew....

Charging the Battery

I use a charger that charges to a certain voltage and then monitors the battery voltage to keep it at that level. Sounds like they overcharged it and cooked the plates.
I can't believe tis already Saturday where you are posting.

I bought a Optimate 3 battery charger (available from any Yamaha dealer)
for $55.00 dollars and it already has brought back to life 3 "JUNK" batteries that were all "going to the recycler". I read 2 articles in Snowtech magazine and they work great. I recently bought another one so I can keep all of the "Fun Toy" batteries up to snuff.

The magizine claimed that was the only charger to use for the RX-1 battery.Using a regular charger would kill the sealed type of battery.I to have brought back a couple batteries, this thing will pay for itself in no time at all! Honk
