Battery powered heated shield?

Anyone considered this? Thinking of using a rechargable battery to power my heated shield really only to eliminate the wire to the sled. Although I'm not sure I can get enough capacity in a small enough package since I've seen around 1 1/2 amp draw for a heated shield.

Any extra weight on the head is a pain in the neck for me. Never really had a problem with the cords, and I have had heated shield since 1994.

I really doubt that you'd get good results using a battery to power the shield, it really would have to be too heavy of a battery. You'd probably have better results just looking for a better kind of plug.
