BE HONEST>>>ANYONE HERE CONSIDERING NEW RUSH?

I guess its different where I ride? We don't go on groomed trails and 90% of the time we're making our own. I tend to not let the brush slow me down, hence the mod front bumper to help trees and shrubs go under the sled. Now I understand you might be able to cover the radiator on a rush with floatplate but seems like it wold hamper any air moving through radiator? I'll stick to my original position, the rush is a trail/snowcross machine which seems kind of limiting? But hey if thats the way you roll then get a rush. There is no doubt it's the best machine out there for bumps! Hands down!

If you watch the vids its not a radiatior, its acctuly a heat extanger. They challenged tons of people to dent or destoy it, not one of them did.

I hate to say this on here but the more I ride my Phazer the more I am considering ANYTHING else. I have some playing with suspension to do before I deep six it but I am becomming more and more frustrated with this thing. I would say right now my #1 complaint is it doesnt turn worth a crap and I have broken more suspension bolts in the last two months than should EVER happen in a lifetime.....Im having a VERY hard time trusting this thing over 5mph.

lol im with ya

Fraolib and Quadscrib, It sucks that you guys are having issues. I was wondering if either of you had invested in a shock revalve to relieve the bottoming and the kickback.

Quadscrib, are you running stock skis? They suck! However, I did get mine working by using the Bergstrom triple point carbides and his ski savers. The ski saver is basically a big spacer that drops the wear bar down and effectively adds a deeper keel. Also running the limiter in the middle hole has helped too.

As far as the bolts breaking, are you keeping them tight? I ended up buying slightly longer bolts and adding big flat washers and lock washers to help keep things tight. If you go this route, make sure you buy the correct grade bolts (don't remember off hand) and that you get them long enough to account for the added thickness of the washers.

Im not having as much of a kickback issue as wanting to roll in turns,I race quad MX and am used to hanging of the side but this is nuts. I know when I put on Woodies carbides it made a HUGE change in turning but before it was so bad it wasnt fun at all.
As far as bolts I do check the torque regularly but must have missed something in the skid. BOTH of my front skid bolts (into tunnel) broke in half saturday..... It never was off the ground either. I was stranded on the trail for 3 hours due to that crap. At least it didnt hurt anything but WTF? The stock bolts SHOULD be grade 8 or 9, Im looking into something harder. Lotsa allen style bolts are grade 13 from what I understand.
I AM READY TO SELL THIS THING...I sure LOVEW it in the ditches though just NO FUN on the trails. Sure hope I dont sound like a bi$ch but Im not having fun
Also let me add that the ONLY reason Im able to type this on my own is because two of the bolts that broke coincidentially broke at low speeds. Either one broke right after running wide open...just dumb luck!!!
I LOVE YAMAHA but .......... :o| :o|

Quadscrib I broke one of those bolts also just tightening it.Its either a special bolt or a cheap one.Anyway I torqued the new ones to spec and never broke after so maybe you overtorqued them at one time.

Brother Ive tried to justify it any way I can cause its just weird for them to both break that way, one broke about 1/4' inside "the tube" so I have considered maybe I over torqued. The thing is and obviously doesnt meen $hit that Ive raced a couple Yamaha quadsduring the last five years that have seemed to have the same hardware, and took TONS more abuse and NEVER broke. And I meen very hard use with several impacts. Ive always been able to trust my Yamaha quad components....

Theres a couple examples...NEVER broke a bolt in 5 years and so far have broken six bolts on the phazer. One from a crash... I do have to admit that. Just getting afraid to trust it
Im gonna probly replace alot of the more crucial fasteners w/ something harder and try different setups with what adjustments I do have. Its very possable that Ive got it all wrong and dont know better...good chance of that. lol

You knwo what is a strong part on the phazer. The steering collom. Sure it bends when you roll the sled on the bars, but dam ner impossable to stratin.

The rush appear to be kick #*$&@. My local Polaris/Yamaha dealer has one and sitting on it feels good..lol. Like to try one out...price is rough though.

what part of the 12000 is rough lmao, who in the hell pays this kind of coin for a sled i can kill in a years time lol
i thought the phazer was pricey, well it is for something that breaks as much as it does hahaa
