have the problems stated on this board with jackshaft and bearings etc been adressed on the '05 model?......probably ordering one this week and i'd like to know before i do....thanks................jeff
yes they have. they have added a threaded collar to lock the jack shaft bearing in place!!!

i have been told that the 05 is a totaly differnt set up and it will not inter change with the 03-04 model years. so go figger hum if thats true they must have found that there was a problem :ORC

the 04 hase the same bearing but a differnt coller with a large lock nut to hold it in place

The 05 does still have the threaded collar with the locking nut saw it for myself just the other day. Not sure what differences you mean Black John!

just going on info that was realayed to me by a warenty rep thro the dealer when i was trying to get a new bearing
this is what was said tell him to get the 04 set up as the 05 stuff is totaly deffernt and will not fit. some times ive notest that the proto and promotional produces do not have all of the up dated parts as the production models do this mite be the case here. theres allways hope that they find a little more durable bearing set up for the jackshaft as this apears to be a rather large flaw as far as i can see as a bad bearing and or coller can lead to rather costly repiars and lots of down time waiting for parts plus a chance for personal injury as we have seen the pics clutch blow ups can be veary distrutive
