Just remember the numbers for MPH on this chart were calculated by a NERD in a dark room with no sled experience. The top speeds listed are if the sled is dropped out of a helicopter at 10,000 ft.OK thanks, nice chart ..what does the book say the rpm is at max HP
My 15 at over 230 hp with over drive is geared 25/42 says 135.3 mph and will not pull more than 118 on the hard pack trail. I have not run it on ice track yet.
Before I make a specific part of that chart bigger tell me what sled you have, what you are trying to accomplish and which part of that chart you want bigger. The more specific you are in your answer the better response you will recieve.Thanks..how can I make that chart bigger..it doesn't open for me as a jpg.
RJH do you know if you become a VIP here you can get a manual and help support the site.

You guys have a lot of combined knowledge thanks!
I did find that manual online ........so OK...
The nerd who did the calculation for mph was me..LOL. I understand why the speed on radar is not the same as calculated.
So here is the deal..we moved to Muskoka about 5 years ago and my winters have been taken up working on race teams for sno x. Maybe..not so much anymore...maybe..Being involved in the Port Carling snowmobile club I will be riding a lot more this winter, I live beside a lake trail also.
My 99 Phazer is working very well with no problems keeping up..but it is time for a newer model. Just like I had to get a smart phone because I'm falling behind in apps..LOL
Actually..we nixed both land lines and our cells control the Bluetooth Panasonic land lines looking phones as Lorna prefers to talk on a normal looking phone.
I have asked Yamaha Canada for support in getting a sled and we are working on that. I don't really care about super HP so thinking about a R - TX - DX SRVIPER
Thanks

All the resources are here. Chex FAQ sticky and the main tech section. I and others warn about expecting too much because it's reality. As a racer you know conditions are huge factor as is the chassis and suspension. Just do the best we can to get every last bit to the snow. Looking forward to picking your brain also! You guys have a lot of combined knowledge thanks!
