i have a 09 rtx and just wanted to ask the mountain gus here if you are having any belt problems ??how many miles are you seeing out of a belt and which is your belt of choice i have 1500 miles and im on belt 5 most if my riding has been deeper snow and straight boondocking alignment has been checked and belts were properly broke in just looking for some insight here sems like most guys in the nytro general talk are riding trails at a higher speed where the belt is cooling at least i think where my problem lies

do you have stock motor?
I have 900 mile still the same belt and ride height is still good. I am running the stock belt. if you are boosted might try the new ultimax belt?? pushing two hundred plus horse power i am not sure what is realistic??

1420 miles and on belt #3. Both belts blowing was probably my fault . (Did not let them cool down after pow riding) The stock belt is super hard and willl eat up your clutch faces if your not carefull. I am now using the XS. We will see how it works.

I also just got a clutch kit from Tom at Hartman inc and this is the best this sled has ever ran. I am still fine tuning it to get the rrr's where I want them but the shifting is great. He said to use the XS. I will post up my results with it.

I got a kit from hartman a while back for my vector
i wound up pitching it. My vector was always a tird
when it came to the clutch

I have 4800km on my 08 MTX. I am on my second stock Yamaha 8DN etc.etc. belt -- first one changed at 1700km, and second one is still on. The width seems to be nearly identical to a new belt.

Where I ride, for every 100km on the trail to the mountains, I ride about 40 - 50km of boondocking and climbing.

yes i have stock motor just installed heelclicker kit (made no diff on belt life) two of the belts were the new xs belt seem to last a little longer but not much the cords come out on the inside (motor side) of the belt everytime but the allingment is on even took it to the shop to double check my allignment i just dont know

I have 2k on my original belt. Running deep snow & drag testing...basically torturing it. I might have to shim the secondary to get belt hight back up. I just don,t understand why you guys are eating Both my nytro,s were great on belts...actually all my 4 strokes were very easy on em including both my turbo rx 1,s.

well i guess it has to do with heat alot of time when im in the snow im to the handle bar and never go over 15 mph i know thats hard on belts but i just dont see people blowing belts like me man i have checked everything
