Well, went out this morning and choked the sled and it fired right off. Idle is right at 15.0 when cold.

Throttle responce is right there. When warm I can crack the throttle and there is no hesitation. First time since this project was underway...back in December. Still havent put new plugs in, but the old set must have dried up and they sound good. I plan on picking new up today and use the old for spares.

Sled is at 8lbs and is running better then it has since I put the motor in.

Thanks to everyone for ther input and help.

HOLLY SH***T :tg:

There was definately something wrong with my head gasket seal from day one. At 8lbs this sled just rocks.

Couple weeks ago at 8lbs maxdlx's well running and set up viper would walk me. And at 12lbs I was finally running with him. And on Friday my buddies F7 took me by about 10 sled lengths across the field and I was seeing 10lbs.

Now at 8lbs it feels faster then when it was at 12lbs against maxdlx. Mmm cant wait to get my buddies f7 lined back up..... :jump:

you should smoke any n/a sled at 12lbs if the run is long enough and you can get traction. as far as the viper goes I don't care what you do to it you should smoke him in about any distance

Travis, I put the filter out the back like you talked. It should work pretty good. And doesnt look too bad either. After getting into it, after sitting in the garage for 2 days under little heat it was still iced over. This way I can keep a close eye on it also.

I need to wrap up the body work. But I think the sled is about ready for the trip next week.
