Just to let everyone know that there is another one of us who has bent a spindle! :o|

We took off this morning to finally do a little riding (we actually have some nice snow) and were about 2 miles into our ride when we came up to a fence line crossing. It had about a 1 1/2 foot tall hump across it, I came up to it pretty slow and then bliped the throttle to jump it. When I did that I landed on the right ski and thought nothing of it. Then I noticed, the ski tip wasn't straight, #$%&* #$%&* . I couldn't believe it, still I can't, I have hit so much worse things, how could this little hit have bent my spindle? This is my first Yamaha I have owned, and have been up to now, thoroughly pleased with the sled. (Besides my left foot being soaking wet)

But here is the real kicker, Dealer can't find any spindles? That there tells me that Yamaha must have some problem with the spindles, being that there is none to be found. I wish that I would of just welded them up like the guys with the Iron Dog sleds did.

So here is my question for all of you guys out there, is there anyone that is making an aftermarket spindle for these sleds. And no not the mountian light weight ones either. Anyway thanks for this site and hopefully it'll be back up and running soon.

One more question, do you guys feel that this should be a warrenty issue? I am willing to pay to get it back up and running, but with all of the problems I have read on these fourms, I just have a hard time thinking that the way I landed would of bent that. But it did, I just thought that it shouldn't of.

I took it off this afternoon thinking that I might be able to do that, but it is in pretty bad shape. I bent the lower a-arm bolt and the mounting holes were tweeked pretty bad. So for right now I am not going to do anything, but come towards the end of the week and I don't have a new one I will be doing something!

Thanks for the reply!

Dustin
