Hey guys
I just got back from muni and was cleaning my sled and found a kink in my tunnel on the right side. Its behind the rear mount for the suspension. Its not very bad and it happen when I bottomed out hard. Sleds out of warr. so I was wondering if I add the plates 07 has if this would help. I am going to talk to my dealer and have my shock revalved. Any ideas would be great.

I bent my tunnel last year the same way, but was still under warranty, so it got fixed for free. I also put the reinforcement plates on, and think if they were there, it never would have kinked. Make sure you get the shock revalved, Pioneer Performance has a nice setup for the GT shock.

You need to adjust susp. so it doesn,t bottom hard before you really pound it , lots of posts here on changing spring clips, springs ,Ra adj,You might be beter off having it to stiff to start and then take some out than take a chance on tweaking the chass, if ya can,t rsist beating on it. That said my buddy bought a RTX 06 with 100mls on it he's coming off a 800 HO with heavy duty springs on it. We changed the stock spring to the big boy spring put the 06 & 07 chassis update plates on (doubling 06 plates as they were all ready on the sled) the stock rivets worked for all the plates and chassis is super stiff now ,might be over kill but he goes #325 and pounds the snot out of it. Extra plates weigh very little. If anybody needs extra 06 plates with rivets pm me. :yam:
