The snowtracker plate is a heavy guage steel ... I would think that it would take quite a hard hit to bend it.

As a quick review, I put my first 260 kms on a new set of Snowtracker semis over the weekend and they are awsome. Zero darting and very good cornering although I was still getting a little push in the corners on loose conditions so I may need to add a little more pressure to the front skis. They were very easy turning too. Best runner set up I've experienced. Over the past two seasons I've been running deuce bars with mediocre results.

600 miles on my snowtracker extremes and early in the year I hit alot of rocks offtrail accessing local lakes. I was amazed as no dents or dings. The carbide runner is very thin so little drag I am sure. The correctors do not dig that deep and are even thinner than the runner so little drag also. I had Bergtroms on my previous sled and can attest to their durability, but I have not run them on my Apex.
These Snowtrackers defy belief in how they look, no doubt, but I am converted. I do not notice any lack of speed or drag, except when you are not moving you cannot turn the handlebars, otherwise its like having power steering and your skis will rail.

I'm going for Arrow skis, supposed tu push less and eliminate darting, without loss of top speed wich may be seen on snowtrackers, because of resistance..

will post impressions in a week or so..

People i can tell you that Snowtrackers really work ! I had them on all of my last three sleds and just ordered a set for my Apex Gt . I too didnt think the would work but with hundreds of dollars invested in different skis and carbides that are garbage after 1000 miles or less i bought a pair of first generation of snowtrackers and all my problems were solved.
Now the new generation snowtrakers are even better I had over 2500 miles on my ZR 900 with them on and they were stil in great shape.
A loss of maybe 3mph is well worth it !

Wow old post revival time.

Figured ten years isn’t too long to bring her back to life! Lol. Just trying to get some answers. Guess I might just have to call Snow trackers and get some info.

Aggressive Snowtrackers are superior to Bergstrom triple points on stock Yamaha single keel skis. I respect Scott he is a stand up guy with a good product but technology moves on and STs are just better than triple points which imo are second best now days but it’s a wide margin to second. Buy the STs you will be impressed!

Don’t want to give up my usi skiis though which I am a slowly learning stock skiis with snow trackers are only option??

Triples are not a mistake but my experience ST are just better. I have run both on Apex’s. Good to great comparison not bad to good, i was a very pleased with the Bergstroms until I ran the trackers

Scott is nice enough to provide drawings on his site ! this might help you in your search for Snowtrackers .
I will do some research and see what I can find.
I have run many skis and Triple points were one of the best carbides I found . I also found it to be the fastest setup on my Vectors .
Scott use to send me Spring discounts or a percent off sale if ordered early . This seemed to stop and that leveled the playing field as far as price.
So after much reading on TY , I set out to buy my first set of Snowtrackers . Yes they were a few more bucks than Triple points but they seemed to perform as
good or better and I think they last longer . along with very easy steering on our heavy 4 stroke front ends .

Snow is coming :) but we need cold weather to setup the lakes and swamps.
