Doo has the new Challenger Lite tracks on there mountain sleds and shaved like 8 lbs off. Can we get these for our sleds ? I know drilling the track will loose like 3-4 lbs but not as much as the lite track. This would be a nice addition to our weight problems. Let's add this up , 28 lbs with the seat and exhaust combo from TJ's , 10 lbs with battery, 8 lbs with track, 3 lbs removing the rear rack. 6 lbs from removing tool box. 3 lbs from removing all idler wheels and going with Composite rears. 2 lbs with going to MOD ski's, and now were at ....... 60 lbs removed give or take a few. Now the dry weight is down from 593 to 533 lbs.!! This could all be done for about 2400.00 maybe $2500.00 plus install . Now were at 150 h.p. with 533 lbs. not to bad, definately competeing with the other big Mnt. sleds on weight . There's also suppose to be a company making ultra lite A-arms , 14 to 16 lbs lighter this summer and no loss in strength maybe stronger. Available in the fall, price unknown right now. I might have missed some other options for cheap weight loss but I think this is pretty close . With the Apex's getting more power to the track then the Doo's this would be a good comparison to the RT ??? Purhaps I'm wrong ?

Yea you forgot one major issue of weight savings, total of 40lbs.

I will give ya a hint, carry it in, and ditch it, only put it in when you need it.

And it will only cost you about 10 bucks.

and the answer is........ gas. what do i win BOB. Yeah thats a great idea but if your riding for who knows how far like we do here then you start with a full tank because it might be 100 miles before your back, and since we ride all mountainess area's and mostly all untaimed, no groomed trails, it's hard to stash gas when you don't know where your going for the day. If i rode trails and went the same places on more than a once a month basis I'm afraid I'd get bored awful quick after having our vast area's to ride. Good idea though for alot of guys on here !

yeah i was thinking of geting the holz coil over kit for mine next year and maybe some fox flots for the front also the seat and exhaust kit will save a lot of weight too. the lighter track would be good but to me seems like it wouldnt last long or not durable. dono geuss will find out next year with the doo guys.
