I have the skid and track out of my 06 apex doing a 5000 mile checkup. all the wheels/bearings are being replaced. I was wondering what is the best grease to use if regreasing bearings? Like the one behind the secondary... I sprayed some teflon white grease in one bearing as a test, and it rolled silky smooth, but i am afraid it is to light of a grease and won't last.

amsoil purple wet multiuse grease on all the bearings.

You want to use low temp waterproof grease. Amsoil makes a good one as well as canadian tire sells a low temp sled grease!!

I prefer Mobil 1 grease and the needle tip grease gun applicator.
Works great!

I too use Amzoil Water Proof Synthetic grease on all bearings and when I changed the secondary and driveshaft bearings at nearly 10,000 miles when my driveshaft broke, they where still in good conditon!

Yep these guys are right.... Amsoil waterproof extra sticky... i drilled a very small hole thru my seals in both driveshaft/jackshaft and bought a small needle tip for my grease gun... now i dont have to take anyhting apart to grease these bearings.... turned a 30 min jog into a 2 min job... highly recommend it... i like to work smart... not hard..

I thought about this idea of drilling a hole in the seal, but didn't think it would work for 1 main reason: where does the old water contanimated grease go when you pump in new grease?
To the OP question, I use Mobile 1 and a grease needle too.

so the question is??? with sleds where you can grease them(zerk fitting) where does the water contaminated grease go there??? pump too much blow out rear seal?? trust me, if you keep these greased.... every 500 miles or so, these bearings will last ten fold.... i've noticed that if you keep a steady supply of grease in them water does not have a chance to get in...
