Yes I did.

Good.Yes I did.
Can the disc move on shaft in and out even just a little? If so then JUST using your hands keep going in and out. A burr forms from disc clip moving during riding. You can't get at it to file it off till disc is removed. Just keep going in and out being careful not to pull too hard and stick it. It will come. Alternative is much worse. Let us know.

Yup it moves freely, I tried pulling slow, fast . Tried to wiggle it slowly no luck. Next step is going to be a pry bar.

I used a lead hammer to gently tap on the edge of the rotor and then I would rotate it a few inches and tap it again. Of course you have almost no room, but it is enough to tap. If you don't have a lead hammer then maybe a wooden mallet. Did you have any problems getting the retaining split ring off?

Good luck. I'd spray some pb blaster or wd-40 overnight and see if it helps. I've had amazing succes with overnight soakings with pb blaster.

Yes and whatever you do do not get it crooked. That means tapping lightly if you use a lead hammer. Trust me if it sticks hard on there it's a real pain to get off even with a puller. Just remember light enough forward then backward. Repeat. The lead hammer is next level from doing it by hand. Risk of sticking it goes up. Use same method as by hand but now with the hammer.

Rich your right all good choices-BUT
LMAO- waterproof grease, I must be a dumb *** cause I thought any grease was waterproof.
When researching the best grease years ago the first thing that came in mind for my sled was a grease that would fight snow. The best synthetic greases on the market have been tested so it was easy to compare. Lots of test procedure for Operating temp, Four ball wear test but the test that stick out for me for snowmobile was Water washout test. Of all the greased I compared, that was available to me, the Amsoil Synthetic Water Resistant Grease had the better numbers.
The funny part is I already had a tube, since that is what I was using for my boats sterndrive. So no need to buy a second grease gun. Bonus. Grease is Yamaha Blue, double bonus.

I finally got my rotor off, everyone said be careful not to jam it sideways. I don't think I could of if I tried but it still was a pain to get off. Im glad I greased the bearing it needed it.

You can but I would recommend a wheel bearing grease. Preferably synthetic. Can I use Yamaha suspension grease for jackshaft Bearings?

Hey guys quick question, I am in the process of installing a lot of stuff on the sled and thought I would grease the jackshaft bearings. Anyway I thought about just removing the whole brake caliper and disc assembly all at once and let it just sit there, but it looks like a pain to get at them bolts and then if I have issues getting the disc off that wont be any good. So I figured I would just split the brake caliper. Did you guys bleed the brake fluid out before doing this? And I would imagine there is some type of seal between the two halves? Can this seal be re-used or am I going to have to go and purchase a new one?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Is it to late to try removing whole thing? If so yes O-ring in between is reusable. Do Not get any brake fluid on the powdercoat it will eat it off in a hurry. I left brake fluid in. Only a little was lost and it gravity bled very easily when put back together.

I believe I also had to crack the brake line and rotate it for some reason. Be sure to get it back tight against tunnel when done.
