I think my upper a-arm is bent , tring to find the best place to measure from . Measured from the rear susp. arm and then the axle , its a alittle over an 1/8 in. almost 1/4 in The bottom is the same on both sides . Don't see how that arm got bent . Just put a new sub frame on tonight and the shock still isn't center ( almost ) so started measuring and i think the upper arm is bent to . So i need to know where everybody is measuring from thanks

not sure of the best place to measure.but i notice on my xtx that one shock is close to the front bar of the a-arm.and the other close to the rear bar of the a-arm.still seems to steer ok but im thinking that something is also tweaked.the shocks arent in the center on either side.ones forwards and the others back.what did the shocks look like befor you changed your out.

Its my right shock its towared the back was like that before i changed the subframe and its still like that not as bad but its not centered , The left is centered . I just went out to check again lowers both measure the same top doesn't and thats measuring from the same point both sides . So i'm thinking the upper a-arm is bent ... What is the caster angle deg. anybody know

Maybe rule out a bent arm by putting a straight edge ruler against it in a couple places.

i think if you do a search you will find alot about this subject, anyway,i and others have posted that the upper a arm is more prone to bending than the subframe, not saying it can't be tweeked, just replaced mine and it was bent.the a arms and the lower a arm mounting tabs were fubar also.i've bent my a arms back a dozen times, but last year i hit a drift really hard, and one side of the subframe went back, and the other went forward, thats kinda how i knew that the subframe was screwed.

I put on a new subframe and its the same way so i know its not the subframe got to be the upper a-arm o well i will get one of those coming .
