Do you have dealer support for either Mfr. in your area? Probably should be an additional consideration if you do... I can't say which is the better (I have an opinion, but it is based strictly on anecdotal evidence, so I'll keep it to myself) of the current offerings as I've never spent any time on either product. I have seen numerous posts though from satisfied customers with both MC and Bender's offerings.

Maintenance - change your oil. Often. I would say every 1000 miles. Keep a close eye on the condition of your track. Don't let your sled sit and idle a lot once it has a turbo, better to drive away slowly until the engine is up to temp. Don't shut the engine down immediately after coming off boost - let the engine run for 1/2 minute or so. A turbo'd RX is capable of pretty high speeds - not a good time for a track to start coming apart. I'll leave the climbiing questions to the mountain guys - I'm a flatlander. Top speeds for a 121" at 10lbs boost is probably going to be +135 real MPH.

Dependability - inversely proportional to boost setting. If you follow the manufacturer's reccomendations in this area, you'll likely never have a problem. It's also quite likely that you will not follow the reccomendations for very long, so I would say anything past 8lbs (10 lbs for sure) and you better be mixing your gas.

There is nothing difficult in the installation of a rear mount turbo. Patience, and attention to detail is probably more important than mechanical aptitide in getting the turbo installed and performing to expextation. If you've torn a 2 stroke down before, don't mind opening up carbs, and can R&R the skid out of your sled, there is no reason that you shouldn't consider doing your own install.

There are at least a few guys on this site that have experience with the Bender/MC kits (not counting all the lurkers). There wouldn't be a question about your install that couldn't be answered in the forum.

The last turbo in my area (MC's rear mount) cost the dealer about 7k CDN to put in his own sled.

I bought my rear turbo from a local dealer who had already installed 6 units. His knowledge and experiance was PRICELESS ;)! ;)! A good dealer will make your tubo experiance much more enjoyable
