Hey folks.....looking to buy a lift to raise entire sled off ground (with wheels for mobility). What are you guys using and can you give me any tips on what to look for in one? Or the best vendors to use? Any TY sponsors selling that you can recommend? I appreciate and leads. Best regards and happy trails!

I have a cheap one that I got from a place here in MN but cannot tell you if they are still in business. I put wheels on it and it was under $120.00 and I have use it for over 10 yrs.
I think the REC Lift is the best I have ever used and they are $270 ish and several for sale
This is the one I have and I use my impact wrench to run it up and down

^ I have lift like that one and has served me well for years but for some reason would not lift the Viper. Maybe its too short or something. It would certainly lift the front but did not extend far enough into the tunnel to lift the whole sled off the ground.

I have two lifts.
The one is made in MN and is called Tricklift.
It is a scissor type with screw jack and is a very high quality piece. lifts 28"
Wheels are decent but not the best.
Welds and powdercoating is nice and are like 240 shipped.
My other lift is a J&s Jacks air sled lift. MAde in Appleton ,Wi 500.00 plus shipping
Very well build heavy lift with air bottle jack or foot pedal for manual operation.
High quality wheels and adj rear legs, Locks to keep lift from moving.
If you have any questions I will do my best to help you.

J&S jack's is expensive but will lift upto 1,000 pounds, can start sled on lift if careful, will lift any chassis length including Mountain.
They do require a minimum of 90 PSI air pressure I have a 20 gallon tank and it works fine. Insure you put lots of oil into the air cylinder and exercise the lift up and down a few times before use. Their air lift comes with wheels and weighs about 125-135 lbs. complete.
You need to supply the air tool oil and fittings for hook-up to your air source, every thing else is included.
The J&S jack lifts approximately 31 inches.

I have the same lift only it came with wheels. In order to get the entire skid off the ground on the XTX the front end has to be jacked really high making it feel unstable. It's the only way to take weight off the skid and adjust the rear shock pressure. I've done it but not quite comfortable with the sled that high.
My 128" Cat could be stored all summer entirely off the ground but not sure I'll be using this lift on the Viper for that kind of storage.

Don't mean to start anything but several lift manufactures that I have spoke to
recommend that you use a electric drill as opposed to an impact on a screw jack scissor sled lift.

^ Takes a bit of torque to lift one (mine anyways) with a cordless drill. I can feel the cases expanding when using it. I found the best rig is a 3/8" air ratchet. Normal style with the 90 degree head on it. Cheap ones work. Gives you lots of room and not so much torque as the 1/2" impact which shears the pin if you have it turned the wrong way.
Used the hand crank once. Works in a pinch but sucks.

J&S Air for me. Very quality piece that you only have to purchase once. It's a plus they are only an hour away so pick up saved some $$$.

Dad and I built a pair, they work very well but my cordless impact stripped the jack out. So now I just use a 1/2" drive drill. Dad uses an air ratchet and that work well also.
