X whatever it is BV2s no question. I have purchased about every helmet out there currently have 10 of them and have to have my head examined because there is nothing better. I have been out at -35 F no fog I have 2 of them and try a new one, turn around and go back to the truck for the BV2s.
They are warm when playing off trail but the breather mask comes off and I run with just the visor and get plenty of air.

Not all bv2s helmets are the same though. If you get a good one they are great, field of veiw is second to none. I got a bad one right from the dealer, visor didn't seal to the flip down mouth piece properly causing it to be cold and noisy right out of the box, and the sun visor rubbed on the helmet putting big scratches on the lens and helmet both. When I brought it back they said it was a common problem and they'd get me a brand new helmet no problem. Problem is everyone is out of stock and I've been wearing an open face for a month with no sign of a new one in sight. If I get impatient they'll refund me no problem as I only wore it once, but for a 500 dollar helmet, I'd say poor quality is unacceptable. I'd like to give it one more chance but so far a waste of time and money

Must have been BV2-1S version. I have 2 and 4 other buddies wearing them since they came out and no probs I paid $249 for my last one from dealer in Sauk Centre MN

I really like my BRP Modular 2. It never fogs.

The only time my BV2S fogs is when it's warm and I start to sweat in it. Taking off my balaclava is the quick-fix for that though

Can you tell me what the difference in versions are? I got mine on sale for 299 Canadian but still that's not cheap. List price in Canada is 499 for non heated and 599 for heated. I really want to like this helmet, just had bad luck I guess

Same here, as in it fogs only if it's too warm outside. I never wear a balaclava with my BV2S. The helmet is too warm and airtight. I do have to wear a neck warmer wedged up under the helmet though as my jaw bone area can get cold because the neck gator thingy isn't too warm. But I've ridden in -10 F temps at 90+ MPH with no balaclava, no fogging, and no problems on warmth. The helmet is so warm I usually use a cheap open face helmet with a flip shield when it's in the 30s.
The only negatives I have for my BV2S: 1) I hate putting it on and taking it off, especially putting it on and getting it adjusted just right (though once it's set I'm fine til I open the mouthpiece again, 2) you have to try it on for sure for proper fit (I usually wear XL helmet, I have an XXXL BV2S).

I have been running BRP Modular 2 helmet for the last couple of years. It never fogs no matter what temperature but it is drafty and you do need a balaclava. I am pleased with it.
