Best Week of "WORK" Ever !!
Some of you know what I do for a living so you know rarely do I complain about my job except when it keeps me from riding......LOL !!

Every once in awhile a gig comes up and you have to pinch yourself. 2 weeks ago I was asked to go to the X Games and be part of the ESPN broadcast team covering not only the Snowboarder's X Course but ALL OF THE SNOWMOBILE EVENTS !!! Speed and Style, Long Jump, Hill Climb, and Snowcross were all events I participated in. If you're familiar with Jamie Little of NASCAR and NFL Football fame, I was her wireless remote camera operator at either the start or finish line and sometimes both during the racing. I did all of her openings, interviews at the start and finish of all the sled races, and the launch shot from right at the start line for the snowcross and hill climb. Spent plenty of time in the pits and even watched a Polaris mechanic change a clutch spring in less the 2 minutes on the side of a mountain in the dark. It was pretty chilly that night too which added to the impressiveness.

Got to rub shoulders with Levi Lavalee and Tucker Hibbert. Had a lengthy conversation with Levi as he was familiar with Lake of the Woods and some of the areas we ride as he is from Northern Minnesota. Unfortunately I had to stick the camera in his face when he crashed practicing for the long jump and was eliminated from competition for the rest of the week. Tucker didn't have much to say. Few people talked to him as he was so focused and dialled in before he raced. He walked the entire snowcross course before he got on his Cat for qualifying and eventually winning his 8th X Games gold medal. Criksidebob will be happy that Cat is once again King of the Mountain !!!

What a blast........AND THEY PAID ME TOO !!! I'm still pinching myself !!!

NHRA starts tomorrow.......WooHoo !!!
