I think 27 or 29 pounds. Later in the day I did turn mine up to 21psi. That was fun.

How many Chisels are you running? The way Phils hooks up youll need much more traction to even be in the same zip code as Phil. His sled runs hard...BBY

136 - 1/2" track with 216 chisels.

They were unable to plow A ice track so I was running on the snow track. For about the first hour the starting line was snow-covered so I had a little catching up to do but still did well. In the video clip you can see the snow covered areas going over them was like hitting the brakes . But there can be no doubt chisel tracks had the starting line advantage.

Hey Phil, I remember that red streak fly by me too. Romel

Hi Romel
Thanks for letting me take your supercharged Apex for a spin. I was very impressed and couldn't stop talking about it.

Yes to be fair Travis is running trail studs. :o| :o| :o| :o|

I think you missed the point of the post. If you try to race sleds setup to run on ice with trail studs even if you have a turbo you are still going to lose.

One more thing this wasn't a true ice track. Phil was still spinning for much of the track as well. If it were a true ice track I'm guess the margin of victory would have been something like when Phil crossed the finish line Travis would have been at half track.

I encourage Travis to invest in a speed track. Phil and Art will be at Phatman. I'd like to see how well he does with the proper setup.

((I think you missed the point of the post. If you try to race sleds setup to run on ice with trail studs even if you have a turbo you are still going to lose.)) REALY :drink: :drink: :o| :o|

Missed the point?? I was thinking this post was about a Turbo sled ROCKING down the 660!!?

Not being a jerk but this is a no brainer i dont like to race ANY sled with picks-chisels with trail studs in my sled. Matter of fact i dont, like coming to a gun fight with a knife! My turbo with trail studs on ice never hooks up even with new trail studs. Dont take this the wrong way, have a good day guys! :D

Skydog ;)! :flag: P.S. Dont get me wrong i know that sled is SICK FAST!! :flag: :flag: ;)!

If you thought this post was about
a Turbo sled ROCKING down the 660
you were correct.

The reason I said you missed my point was becuase of this comment

One more thing Phil didn't go out ther to race him. He went out to tape a pass for everyone to see. It was a total coincidence that he got travis on tape.

You guys need to relax. My sled is a trail sled and Phils sled is a race sled. My sled is set up for trail riding because thats all I do. I just went there to have some fun and I did. Maybe next year I will get another track and put picks in it for the occasional ice races. I hope to see some of you at the Phatman races and the Schush Mountain races. And if anybody wants to do some trail riding, let me know.

Cool phil, what speed was that run. I see they had a traffic radar thing up. Was that your belt sqeeling(or a secret).

Running the belt as tight as he can to get the lowest gear ratio out of the hole he can. :flag: :flag:
