I bought this skid all set up the way it is used with Exit shocks and all. Been riding it for years and was fine till recently. End of the year last year it slowly got worse. I couldn’t hill climb without it ratcheting bad etc. Drivers look worn but how much can wear off drivers enough to maxed out track tensioners? Track look next to mint.If the anti ratchets are the same tooth number(8 tooth, 9 tooth, etc) as the stock drivers, they should be very close in diameter to the stock ones?
Yes tracks stretch, but I'd assume the track extension was designed to work with the stock size wheels unless larger wheels came with the kit.
How much track deflection do you have now? Were the larger idlers, stock Yammi wheels? I'm guessing you need to go back to what ever size they were if the track wasnt ratcheting before . But like I said in the other post, try one on the outside and see if you can get that side adjusted........dont run it that way, just check how close you can get the deflection to what it should b .

When drivers are worn hard they will slip easily even with a tight track. Mark them, press them off and flip 180 and press back on. Good for thousands more miles. Been there done that. Extros will let you run track very loose though and are almost a necessity for the torquey motors.

Awesome tip thanks that’s great to know if happens on a sled trip. Will just swap drivers then. This started happening more after I did full system exhaust, intake, power commander and clutch kit. Sled was a LOT more fun but harder on the drive system I am sure so what you said makes sense. So assuming the extros will solve my issues. Thanks for all your help and tips guys!!When drivers are worn hard they will slip easily even with a tight track. Mark them, press them off and flip 180 and press back on. First off, you say it's the way you got it, but in your first post you said you put on smaller rear idlers?? Which is it? That's the first thing you need to address,(other than insuring the drive axle bearings are ok) because this would most definitely cause you to have to pull the rear axle wayyyy back to get the track tight
Secondly, you havent said what your track deflection is currently?
Extroverts will allow you to run a looser track, but keep in mind that a track that is too loose will balloon and start slapping your tunnel. Running studs? That's a bad combo. The extro's may help with the ratcheting, but I doubt it will solve your track adjustment issue.
