Big rear suspension problems

Do you have an base model or RTX? If a spring isn't broken than like was said, sounds like you have moisture in a shock. I had this happen to me twice on older sleds with oil shocks. You'll have to have your shock rebuilt which isn't a bad idea seeing as how the sled is 4 model years old.

I'd pull the skid and check everything over and put fresh grease in every moving pivot.

Its an RTX. I can't have the machine down for a couple weeks so I'm not shipping them to Hygear. I'm going to have a local shop (Mod Fathers) rebiuld it.
Is there anything I should ask him to do to the shock. I'm 250lbs

Shock for sure. I had a cat that had the exact same problem. Had the shock rebuilt and perfect ever since.
On the other hand The first time it happened my dealer said it could be the shafts freezing when compressed due to not using low temp grease.
The shock rebuild fixed it tho!!!!!!!

Reason I asked if it was an RTX is because you can't remove the center shock without first taking out the skid frame. I know nothing about your local dealer, but I'm sure they will do fine rebuilding your shock. I personally use Carver, but I ask them to both rebuild and revalve my shocks They definitely know what they are doing and know how to make a Nytro ride its best.

Carver always asks me my weight and how I am using the sled. Make sure you tell your shock rebuilder the same thing. I'm kinda biased as when I rode Ski-doos I'd have my local dealer rebuild and revalve my shocks and I couldn't tell much of a difference. I did the same thing a second year in a row with minimal results, even thought the owner of the dealership told me all the right things to make me happy. When I switched to Yamaha, my dealer said he couldn't revalve my shocks because he didn't have a shock dyno. He sent my center shock off to Carver and when I rode it, I was like "Wow!" I then realized there was a big difference. Ever since I've just sent my shocks to Carver and have always been happy with the results.

I finally pulled the shock. It should be done in a couple days. My back and knees could not take anymore
I was going through some of the receipts from the previous owner and I found one for revalving at Pioneer performance.

We just finished putting mine back together today. For some reason we had a really hard time putting the skid back in. I'm going to have to set-up my suspension again. Its out to lunch.
