Block Heater

just get a sledstart remote
never worry as you can set it many ways
it starts mine when below -25 if not parked in my garage
great at the lake orwhen no power around

A remote starter has nothing to do with whats being discussed here. Sure it would be nice, but its doing nothing to help engine wear at cold start up. Or ease of start.

actually supa, I think what alsops is trying to say is that the sledstart can be programmed to start the sled at a preset temp. So if it gets to -25 the sled will start itself, run and warm itself up, charge the battery, and then shut back off. That is a great solution when there is no power around to plug your sled in.

you can have it come on at -10'c or whatever or every hour.
It actually eliminates any worries during cold start up
I have mine set at -18'c
it comes on and cycles till warm and shuts off...no worries
a good alternative to a block heater as that is why I chose it...never power in place when you need it..also no extension cords etc
