Very strange. I also ride an 05 vec and with 4447km I've never had an issue with a belt. What kind of mod's, if any, does the machine have?
Maybe excessive track tention/friction somewhere else if clutch setup checks out?
What brand of belts?

I used to blow belts on my RsVenture .The dealer told me to take the shims out from the three bolts on the secondary .I did that and have not blown a belt since .It also used to squeel on take off ,doesn't do that any more either .

if you are blowing belts, it also is a good idea to check your clutches to see if they are glazed. Hit them with some 400 Grit sand paper to take the glaze off, especially the primary
