i ahve an 05 vector and i keep blowing belts. iv went through six or so in the last two years. i smell rubber each time i ride. wut is causing it to slip. All my clutches have been lookied over by a local dealer and everything is fine.NEED UR GUYS INPUT PLEASE! THANX

Very strange. I also ride an 05 vec and with 4447km I've never had an issue with a belt. What kind of mod's, if any, does the machine have?

Maybe excessive track tention/friction somewhere else if clutch setup checks out?

What brand of belts?

Stock or ??? Are you breaking them in properly? Otherwise, you may need, and probably should, check your alignment.

I used to blow belts on my RsVenture .The dealer told me to take the shims out from the three bolts on the secondary .I did that and have not blown a belt since .It also used to squeel on take off ,doesn't do that any more either .

if you are blowing belts, it also is a good idea to check your clutches to see if they are glazed. Hit them with some 400 Grit sand paper to take the glaze off, especially the primary
