I have a Bender Stage 2, been running fine for two seasons. Left key in on position had to recharge battery, started it up at 10 below and about a quart or two blew out of exhaust at idle, and with a little power was billowing smoke. Dealer thinks need new center section of turbo, have read other posts stating oil pump failure could do this, any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Check your oil pump fuse. Double check your connections.

The engine will pump oil to the turbo. The bender pump pulls it back. If its not pulling it back then it exits the exhaust.

The turbo seal isnt a "SEAL" like you would think off, its straight metal. No rubber gasket. So it doesnt hold back the pressure the engine puts on it.

Hope this helps.

Blowing oil

today checked fuse on scavenger pump, was fine so then disconnected oil return line from pump at oil sump, and have oil returning from turbo when idling... Had fair amount of oil in innercooler, although most of the oil came out exhaust??? Turbo issue???

If you remove the line from the oil pump that goes to the resevior and start it. Should pump like crazy.

If its not then oil pump issue.

what do you call pump like crazy??? flow rate was sort of slow in my ignorant opinion!! when started motor it took about 5-10 seconds for oil to come out and rate probably would have taken a couple minutes for a cup of oil..
