Ok, so I've been playing with the engine of my rx-1 as some of you are aware
Anyhow, I had a bog in the 5000-6000 range (right where you ride on the trails :<) I tried everything I could think of and nothing helped. So I then changed the springs in the cabs from the ones from my ECP kit back to the stock ones and lo and behold the bog range went up 1000 rpm and is a little less severe!
Anyone have any clue based on that infoo what might be causing it? I can't even tell if it's rich or lean or fuel starved or what. It almost feels like it's only on 2 cylendars in that range....
Thanks for your help!

balance your carbs and....
I am going to suggest that you start by making sure that you do not have a leak between a carb and air box...check those boots....also like someone else stated maybe you dropped an o-ring...If all checks out....sync the carbs...mine were way out of wack from factory...I had an awful bog spot on mine....I balanced only once and after 6000 miles it is still nice and crisp....Oh also...is your secondary back shifting smoothly....could be allot of things...you just have to start poking and you will get it sooner or later.......Hope this gives you some ideas...good luck.
PS ...what year is you RX-1?

o-rings are all there.
K&N Filters (ECP + EVAC) so no chance of air leak. (it was fine with the ECP + EVAC, it was after that with more mods that this happened
)
It's a 2003
Ya, I'm thinking that it's probably the syncing of the crabs that is the problem now.... Anyone know where I can buy an manometer that will work for this? (perferably a Canadian place so that I can avoid the duties, but if not I'll live

I haven't synced the carbs yet... but I was thinking about the TPS.... Would that cause this?

Have you adjusted the fuel screws? If so were they all the same? If you did set them you may have changed the idle position for the sensor thus a different reading @ 1350rpms. I would make sure the pilots are clean, the carbs are synced and the TPS is checked. The timing on this motor is modified by the computer using input from the TPS and rpms...Syncing the carbs can be tricky- adjusting one may knock another out of wack....check and recheck....

Had this problem with the k+ns on mine a couple years back.I installed richer pilots and red springs problem gone.I figured it was a lean bog due to the extra air.I operate at sea level this setup has worked for me...

My '03 had the same thing happend at 4000-5000 with the ECP and EVAC kit. It turned out to be dirty pilot jets. I went to 22.5 pilots and pilot screws set at 1 3/4, also my mechanic synced the carbs because they where off by a lot. It has been running smooth ever since.
