Getting ready to leave for a trip in the U.P. and after inspecting my sled, the 4 inner bogie wheels at the front of the skid are mostly de laminated. Is this normal? Is it an absolute necessity to replace these for a 500 mile trip? Thanks in advance.

I would if they look bad.

Yes they are known for that especially if you have studs. I highly recommend PPD brand. They look identical to the stock Soucy wheels but I am getting double the life out of the rubber on them. Travis at Barn of Parts sells them. I will not accept any other brand now.

if there are chunks missing, they need to be done as it will wear the slides out.

And then shock lower eyelet get wiped out too.
