BOV on Ulmer stage 2HE

I'm about to install a Vee port BOV on my Nytro. Running the stage 2HE kit. Has anyone installed a BOV on the Ulmer kit? I've searched this site and seems everyone says that a BOV is a must have. Other sites state the opposite. Will this hurt the throttle response? Do I really need it when I'm not running big boost numbers?

The benefit will be on and off the throttle response. How is yours now?

Right now it is pretty good. I do find that once I crank the boost up to 10-8lbs it is not as crisp as when running 5lbs.

You may have to adjust the fuel slightly in the lower rpm ranges as it will be bleeding off the air pressure under vacuum now and the boost sensor will not be adding fuel quite the same as before.

Allen, will the BOV not close as soon as the throttle opens? From what I understand from researching, it should only be open when at idle from vacum? Correct me if I'm wrong here. Will this depend on the spring pressure? So I should be adding fuel at idle?

Generally you will see vacuum until approximately 6000 or so rpm. You may need to richen up the low speed fuel settings to compensate for the loss in pressure while the BOV is open.
