Is there a replacement brake lever for the older style sled (mechanical / cable brake) which is closer to the handle bars (like the motocross style) which would be better for kids use / persons with small hands as the OEM is a bit of a stretch ...

have you tried looking for adjustable clutch levers for dirt bikes? similar aplication.

might be able to find a hyd conversion kit or fab one up. mrsled just did one for his vmax progect on the 2 stoke side.
