Okay I took sled out of trailer last week. I believe I used the brakes then and they worked fine. Doing some clutch work so engaged parking brake to get belt off. For some reason I tried brake today and nothing. Just a click noise at Caliper. Hand bled the heck out of them, MityVac for Vacuum bleed. Nothing. Think Master is shot?

Not Good , you put new Caliper last year so you would not think that is gone all ready.

Right and not getting any air out just fluid. Buggers don’t sell a kit either. Have to get whole master. Not Good , you put new Caliper last year so you would not think that is gone all ready.

I’d say the master went. Any pressure build at all with a quick squeeze? I’m not a fan of parking brakes that require you to use way more pressure than one would normally use to set the park lever. Your basically putting maximum pressure on the brake system for the entire time the park brake lever is on.

No pressure at all. Took master apart and cup looks fine but it can just fall into the bore. Cleaned everything up and put back together. No change. Nothing. It’s almost $150 for master. Buddy and I tried again 3 hrs later same results. Anyone have a source for a Rebuild kit for Hayes? Tell ya what if in fact I have to pay $150 for master first thing I am doing is cutting that Parking brake off

Yes it was left on for couple days after removing belt. Work once after and never since. Took Master apart. Should have took pics. Cheap piece! Only one cup in it and a O-ring. Very simple. Trying warranty monday. Expires 12/01/18.Barn of parts got any masters? Maybe take it apart and find out what the bore size is and maybe match on from a motorcycle??????

Never leave the parking brake on long term in any machine. A day is to long in my book even 6 hours. Its meant for parking on hills, not in your trailer.
This is what makes them go bad.
Yes everyone likes the added security when hauling them around, but it will make them go out.

Believe me I wont anymore. Picked up new Master and it gravity bled in about 5 minutes! Good to go.
