:shock: I just changed the oil on the 05 rx1 mtn and upon doing sooo, I found out that on the bottom of the drain plug/ motor , there wasnt a brass washer :shock:
my 04s had the washer but none on the 05 ? should I get one at the dealer or dont worry about it? or put it back in? thanks for the help guys

Wondering if it got lost or never put in? Pick one up or look at the section of the bolt by the threads and head, maybe they changed the contact surface.

Usually a crush washer involved when you are dealing with one surface being aluminum. A lot of car and cycle racers use a small amount of the orange hi temp silicone on the mating surface.
It might be aluminum and stuck to one surface. Perhaps you are just not seeing it.

Mine had the washer on both the case drain and the tank drain.
So how did I end up with an extra on yesterday when I changed my oil? I didn't see it until I was draining the old oil into a container. :shock:
Double checked and both are on there, no leaks....any idea where a copper colored wahser could have fallen off of during an oil change?
They must have left rx1forevers in mine loose.lol
