TY 4 Stroke Master
finally got my first brand new sled. It is a left over 2017 viper btx 153. What is the break in process for new 4 strokes. I’m assuming no full throttle bursts for awhile and also vary the cruising speeds. For how long.

Thanks for the posts guys. Looks like the "yamaha" way or the "stolen sled" way. I guess I'll read the manual when I pick it up and make my decission form there.

With the today’s technology “brake-in” is more for driveline components than the engine itself. I personally just avoid WOT for more than a few seconds at a time for the first 200 miles or so, change the engine/ gear case oils, and hammer on!
