Does anybody have any recomendations for breaking in the new 150 Motor? I am sure that Yamaha has a break in procedure but I have been looking around the internet and there seems to be lots of opinions. Any help or advise would be helpful.

The last 4 sleds that I have bought(look below), I have ripped wide open across a field up to 70-80mph back and forth without overheating it. This was with 0 miles on it. Every one of these sleds were very fast compared to other sleds in there class and other sleds that were the same model.

Break it in however you wish. You'll never keep it long enough to wear it out anyway.

Also not trying to hijack the thread, but I'm in southern Chautauqua County. Always looking for new places to ride & folks to ride with. Will be my first time on a Yamaha after many 'Doo years.

I really like what this guy is saying about break in I would like to find a dyno to break in my GT because the first ride of the season is never good and probably not be able to run it like I want to.
So who has the closes dyno to the top of Vermont?

Best way to break it in is to run full throttle but not for long periods of time. Only after engine has completely warmed up first. Must be done within the first 20 miles to get the rings seated the best. Change the oil right afterwards.
