Any thoughts on what can be used for the breather tube on the backside of chaincase. Both yamaha and cat parts BO.

I am assuming you are refering to the oil breather. I would imagine that any oil resistant flexible hose would work if it fits in snugly. Even if not oil resistant it should be fine. just inspect every year.
When I put a turbo kit on the machine with the corresponding intake the instructions were just to vent that tube to atmosphere.

So is your breather tube broke off? What's the deal?

The breather was missing when I did upper bearing. Not sure if it was ever there. Looks like I would have to pull gas tank off to get at it. Also breather is BO as well.

I have put on about 70 miles this week and nothing is coming out of the vent.

Looks like the tube is just pressed in? or threaded? As long as you don't overfill the case and your not leaking now just run it.. My 2 cents..
